After several false starts, Florida Atlantic University officials say they're moving forward with a new 30,000-seat football stadium. The new $63-million facility is the centerpiece of Innovation Village, a larger development that includes a research center, dorms, new fitness center, retail and more. The current plan calls for completion of the new stadium for the 2011 season. Coming up: a sale of naming rights (current pegged at $10 million for 10 years), the sale of bonds this fall and a groundbreaking next spring. |
