An agreement between Towson University and unhappy neighbors over the location of a new arena will place the facility farther away from landowners, but still adjacent to the current athletic center.
The new location is to the west of the current athletic center. The university had proposed building the $45-million, 5,000-seat arena closer to the edge of its land, putting the facility right next to the back yards of existing residences.
That didn't sit too well with local residents, who worried about the impact of the arena on their daily lives.
